Overview
The NAT00010 (Training Organisation) file is a mandatory AVETMISS file that contains your Registered Training Organisation’s (RTO’s) legal and contact details. This file is used by NCVER to identify your organisation during AVETMISS submission and validation.
What is the NAT00010 File?
The NAT00010 file captures key organisation-level information, including:
- Training Organisation Identifier (RTO Code)
- Organisation Name
- Address and contact details
Important Rule:
• The NAT00010 file must contain one record only
• One RTO equals one NAT00010 record
Key System Dependencies
Correct NAT00010 validation relies on exact matching data across the following systems:
- Organisation setup in TEAMS
- AVETMISS Validation Software (AVS) user account
- training.gov.au (TGA)
Any mismatch between these systems will result in AVETMISS validation errors.
Common NAT00010 Validation Errors
Error 4645 – Invalid Training Organisation Identifier
This error occurs when the Training Organisation Identifier in the NAT files does not match any RTO listed on training.gov.au.
Resolution in TEAMS
- Navigate to Admin → Organisation
- Review and update the Organisation Code
Ensure the values entered exactly match the details published on training.gov.au.
Error 4704 – Organisation Code Does Not Match AVS Account
This error occurs when the Training Organisation Identifier in the NAT files does not match the RTO code registered against the AVS user account used for validation.
Each AVS user account is linked to a specific RTO. The Organisation Code in the NAT files must match this registration.
Resolution
- Log in to the AVS portal
- Confirm the Training Organisation Identifier linked to your AVS user account
- Cross-check this identifier against:
- The Organisation screen in TEAMS
- The organisation record on training.gov.au
Decision Path for Resolving NAT00010 Errors
Use the following decision path to identify where corrections are required:
• If Organisation Code or Name in TEAMS does not match training.gov.au:
Update the Organisation details in TEAMS using the exact values from TGA.
• If TEAMS matches training.gov.au but the error persists:
Verify the RTO code linked to the AVS user account.
• If TEAMS, AVS, and training.gov.au all match and the error continues:
Escalate the issue to NCVER Support, as the problem may be related to the AVS backend.
