Transfer Enrolment

Enrolment Dashboard > Enrolment Profile Tile > Edit Enrolment

TEAMS has introduced a new Transfer Enrolment option to help education providers clearly identify students who have transferred from another education provider in Australia.

What is the Transfer Enrolment option used for?

Under the applicable government requirements, education providers are restricted from paying or providing commission to an education agent for recruiting an overseas student who has already commenced studying with another provider in Australia before completing their principal course.

To help identify these enrolments, TEAMS now provides a Transfer Enrolment checkbox within the Edit Enrolment screen.

When selected, the enrolment is marked as a Transfer Enrolment, making it easier for administration and finance staff to identify students who have transferred from another education provider and determine whether agent commission is payable.

How to mark an enrolment as a Transfer Enrolment

  1. Open the required Student Profile.
  2. Navigate to the student’s Enrolment.
  3. Click the Edit Enrolment icon.
  4. Locate the Transfer Enrolment checkbox.
  5. Select the checkbox if the student meets the relevant transfer student criteria.
  6. Save the enrolment.

Once saved, the enrolment will be flagged as a Transfer Enrolment.

How to identify a Transfer Enrolment

The Transfer Enrolment status will also be displayed on the Enrolment Dashboard Profile tile, next to the Edit Enrolment icon.

This provides a quick and visible indicator, allowing users to identify transfer enrolments without having to open the enrolment details.

Important

The Transfer Enrolment checkbox should only be selected when the enrolment meets the relevant transfer student criteria.

If the checkbox is not selected, the enrolment will continue to be treated as a standard enrolment, and no transfer indicator will be displayed on the dashboard.

Why is this useful?

This enhancement helps:

  • Clearly identify students who have transferred from another education provider.
  • Provide greater visibility of transfer enrolments to administration and finance teams.
  • Assist staff when reviewing agent commission eligibility.
  • Reduce the risk of incorrectly processing agent commissions for enrolments that may fall under applicable transfer restrictions.
  • Make transfer enrolments easier to identify directly from the Enrolment Dashboard.
