Admin > Email Template Screen > + Email Template Button
The Email Template Entry screen allows you to create or modify email templates. It is typically a part of an email marketing or communication platform that allows you to design and customise pre-designed email templates for various purposes, such as newsletters, transactional emails, or student support communications.
It provides a visual editor or a form-based interface where you can customise content, layout, and styling, including text formatting, image insertion, and colour adjustments.
You can easily generate an email template by simply clicking the AI Compose button and entering a command or prompt for the AI to generate the content. You can also select merge fields to personalise the template, although the AI will automatically include relevant merge fields in the output.
Fields on the Email Template Entry screen and their Explanation:
Fields | Explanation |
---|---|
Email Title | This mandatory field is visible only to team users and cannot be left blank. |
Email Subject | The subject line is displayed to students; this is also a mandatory field. |
Template Type | You will see different objects (such as students, enrolment, agent, etc) under the drop-down of this field and based on your requirements you can select one type at a time to create the email template. |
Available Fields | This section shows merge fields based on the selected template type. For instance, selecting “student” will display only student-related merge fields for easy insertion. |
Add Button | Allows users to insert selected merge fields into the email content easily. |
Marketing Email | Enables the inclusion of marketing-specific content in the message box. |
Default Sender | Designate a default sender for the email. |
Attach Files | Provides the option to attach files to the email template for additional context or resources. |
The created email template can be sent based on the selected option from the ‘Template Type’ dropdown. For instance, if ‘Student’ is chosen, you can send this template from the Student Dashboard and other related screens. From the Student Dashboard, choose the ‘Send an Email’ option from the burger menu of the communication log.
If you want to send an email to multiple students, then use the Continuing, Starters or Finishers tiles. Select the checkboxes next to the students and choose ‘Send Email’ from the burger menu.
