The Report Scheduler screen allows you to automate the generation of both standard and custom reports based on a defined schedule.
To create a new schedule, click the “+” button in the top-right corner of the screen. From the dropdown, you can now select either a Standard Report or a Custom Report, and then enter the desired start and end dates for the schedule. Additionally, choose the schedule type—either a one-time or recurring report.
For recurring schedules, you can set the recurrence period and frequency(daily, Weekly, or monthly). You can also select the specific days of the week or a particular day of the month based on your chosen recurrence period for the report to run.
Click Save to finalise the schedule. The scheduled reports will be generated automatically at 12:00 ACDT on the defined dates.
Click the Edit icon next to the schedule to set the parameters. A parameter screen will appear, giving you the option to adjust either Predefined or Advanced parameters.
Predefined Parameters
Under predefined parameters, you can select filters such as a predefined date range that will be available under the selected period dropdown. The rest of the parameters will be the same as those available on the main report parameter screen.
Advanced Parameters
In the Advanced Parameters section, you can define the report’s date range using the From and To parameters with a specific number of weeks. The rest of the parameters will be the same as those available in the predefined section.
After adjusting the parameters, click Save. The updated schedule will now apply, and your report—whether standard or custom—will be generated as per the schedule.
If required, the changes can be made any time before the report generation time by selecting the Edit icon from the parameter column.
