Unit of Study > Unit of Entry Burger Menu > Subjects
The Unit of Study Subjects screen is where you can link subjects to the Unit of Study created in the system. You can also edit the subject by selecting the Edit icon under the Actions column.
To add a subject to the program, click the + Add button. A pop-up will appear where you can enter the initials of the subject code and select the appropriate subject code.

| Select the Subject | It is a magic search field, where you can write the initials of the subject code, and then you can select the subject code from the suggestions below. |
| Subject Name | It is a read-only field, which will be auto-populated when you select the subject code |
| Seq. No | Here, you have to write the sequence number of the subject. for eg, if x,y, and z are three subjects, then you can write seq no as x as 1, y as 2, and z as 3. |
| Subject Type | Select the radio buttons as Core or Elective.This classification supports academic structure, reporting, and ensuring the correct subjects appear for student selections. |
| Active | Tick this box to activate the subject-unit link. |
| Ignore Subject End Date | Tick this box when you want the subject to remain valid in the unit of study even if the subject itself has an end date set. This is useful when a subject has technically ended but still needs to be available for legacy students or specific offerings. |
