The Student Portal in TEAMS provides students with a central place to manage their studies, track progress, submit assessments, and view financial and communication details.
This guide explains how students can access the portal and navigate its key features.
Accessing the Student Portal
To access the Student Portal, students need to open their TEAMS site link.
Example:
students-sea.rtoteams.com.au
Students can log in using:
- Username: Primary email address or student number
- Password: As set in the Edit Student Details screen
After clicking Sign In, an OTP will be sent to the student’s registered email and also the same email will be recorded in the student’s communication log tile in teams. Once the OTP is entered, the student will be redirected to the Main Dashboard.
Main Dashboard
The Main Dashboard provides a quick overview of important student information, including, Attendance rate, Overdue fees and Enrolment status (In Progress, Upcoming, Completed).
In the top-right corner:
- Notifications can be viewed
- The profile icon provides access to:
- My Profile
- Make a Request
- Change Password
- Sign Out
Profile and Requests
- Within My Profile, students can:
- View personal and address details
- Update address information
- Submit requests for changes
- Using Make a Request, students can:
- Select a program
- Submit requests based on their needs
All requests are recorded in the system, with the most recent requests displayed first for easy tracking.
- The Change Password option allows students to securely update their password.
Program Overview
When a student selects a program from the dashboard, they are taken to a detailed view of their enrolment. This section is organised into the following tabs:
- Summary
- Subjects
- Financials
- Contact Logs
Summary Tab
The Summary tab provides an overview of the program, including:
- Start and end dates
- Timetable
- Study periods (including Total study weeks, Academic Holiday Weeks and Student Holiday Weeks)
- Attendance details
- Number of subjects completed and remaining
Students can also download available resources from this section.
Subjects Tab
The Subjects tab displays all subjects linked to the program, categorised as:
- In Progress
- Upcoming
- Completed
Each subject tile includes:
- Subject code and name
- Subject type (Core or Elective)
- Assessment details
- Result date
Students can access the subject summary page to submit assessments and track their progress.
Note: Once an assessment is submitted, the submit option will no longer be available, even if the submission window is still open.
Financial Tab
The Financial tab provides a complete account summary, including:
- Overdue fees
- Invoiced amounts
- Payments received
- Balance owing
A detailed transaction list is also available with relevant dates and amounts.
Contact Logs Tab
The Contact Logs tab displays communication records shared with the student.
Only logs marked with the “Show in Student Portal” option will be visible.
